How do I use the magic wand?

The Magic Wand is currently exclusive to Segmentation projects; the Magic Wand icon will not appear on bounding box or normal polygon projects. 

To activate it, simply click on the Magic Wand icon (or press the "W" shortcut key) and draw a box around the object you want to annotate by clicking twice - once to start the box, and again to finish it. After a brief loading screen, you'll see an annotation magically appear. 🪄

To exit the Magic Wand, press the Escape key or click on the icon again.

When the object of interest is very small or has very complex outlines, the Magic Wand might not be able to generate good annotations. See the [draw tools link] section to learn more about how you can use our Draw tools to refine Magic Wand annotations efficiently.
